A not so peaceful lunch...

Met up with a bunch of friends for Pastamania today. One of them (Fren A) was carrying a big bag of items and decided to deposit it at Toys R Us before proceeding for lunch without the load. The staff took the bags but when Fren A walked out of the store without collecting the bags the dispute began... I was a distance away and the only words I could make out were "How can you that kind of language?" (Remark from another friend who was nearby).

It was only later did i find out that the staff had said something along the lines of, "Don't come and bullshit with me."

The incident left me shocked for a minute or two after that. No doubt my friends were at fault too for taking advantage of the locker system that Toys R Us provides for its customers but the staff shouldn't have said those words either... A proper explanation would have done better... but i doubt my friends would have stopped to listen.

The customer is always right but 他们也是为了一口饭,为什么让他人那么难为?

Tian Long Ba Bu

Been following the "Tian Long Ba Bu" (Chronicles of the heavenly dragon) series quite closely lately. Rather enjoy the stories written by Jin Yong. Great writer, always manages to capture his audiences' attention in the first few pages and have you hanging on for more. Occasionally the story ends badly and leaves you disappointed "Xue Shan Fei Hu" is one case in point.

Hey KC, what's the BT you were talking about? If i had more time would read the book instead... BTW, ur SIM card is still with me, have been using it to make a few overseas call to friends in Europe. Thanks. Will return to you when i'm done with it.

Of Chili Bombs & Midnight suppers..

Just sent a long time friend off to the airport for her flight back to Australia. Came back for two weeks and now she's off again. Looking forward to seeing her back in S'pore again. Looking back at these two weeks and the time we spent together was certainly very memorable.
Me bugging her about mp3s, talking, breakfasts, pool games and not to mention the early morning supper that we had under my block yesterday.

Was surprised that she popped over to my block last night to have supper with me and a few friends came along (Eugene & Philip). After a few cans of beer, ppl were getting high and a little tipsy... then that's when the accident happened. Check out the picture.

I was like.. "OH MAN, SHIT! U really threw that packet of sauce at me!!!" According to a fren, it looks like i shit into my pants or something.. Marvellous.

Tech blues

Why is it so hard to get a mp3 player of my choice? Its been so frustrating go around websites, running to SLS, heading to Courts and Best Denki all just to look at the myraid of players available on the market. Initially i wanted Creative (support local brands!!), looks not too bad wat and a few of my friends are using it. Most importantly its affordable. Then the feedback came in as i started asking questions... "Er... got no hold button leh..."; "Don't drop it k.." etc..

So wat does a rational, sensible being like me do? I collect more information... Then my choice changed... since the price is about the same why not spend a few more dollars to get an ipod mini? Only to realize... damn it! I nid a adaptor.. n guess what? Apple doesn't throw in the adaptor and each piece cost around S$60. Oh great... and its suppose to be student friendly?

So here I am... Maybe i should just get a jia-pa-lang Korean brand or something... As long as can work can liao right? Don't think i'm asking for much here... a player that has radio, looks ok... got voice recording, can put data files etc... (haha, doesn't that sound like what everything the current batch of mp3 players could provide) Anything is possible as long as you have the money to spend.

Best part... the player is only gonna cost me a few hundred dollars and i'm taking so long to make a decision... letting it keep my mind away from other matters.. I don't remember contemplating so long for my laptop when i was buying it...

Shopping...

Yawn... Ok posting at midnight again. As usual, can't seem to sleep. Not that i should be complaining. Sleep seems like a luxury during college, and in uni it just doesn't seem to be so valuable anymore (like 'hello! shouldn't you be working harder anyway?').

Went shopping for clothes with Alex just now after dinner for the clothes that he would need for his work. Hey Alex, if you're reading this trust me, long-sleeves look better, just don't cuff it up. Just curious, how do guys actually go about their shopping? Do you people just aim and run for the item or take ur time and scan? I opt for the latter... u miss out the fun if you grab and go. But then guys... wat's there to play with when shopping (if its not black, its either blue or grey). Just like wat i was telling my fren the other day when we past by the men's briefs section at Metro. "If its not black, its blue or else grey... The most you get is a different cut or some designs at the waistband. Not much fun to since there isn't much to compare... there ain't no flowers or laces to choose from."

Just watched the Be Cool DVD that i borrowed from a friend. Didn't think I would like it though but turned out otherwise. Not a bad movie to waste your time away. They really made John Travolta look good in this, gave him all the slick get-aways and how he turned the tables upon his opponents to get what he wanted. All done without the need to get into a brawl. Haha. Wonder how many people could carry that off in real life.

Ah... The month of july. Which means only one thing to me right now... school's starting very soon. Sigh.... At least I still have one more month to go from now on...

Sorry ppl if you have been waiting for an update on my life and there's none at the moment. Actually... its not as if there's nothing going on really... either i dun think its worth mentioning or I might not want the issue to be public knowledge. Come to think of it doesn't it make my blog inconsequential?

Anyway, met up with Shi Ting like the good-old-days when we were all here in Singapore. Its great to have you back again pal. Really nice. Those ppl back there really mistreat you man. Change a residence!!! You don't have to be stuck with them for the next few months. Hope you get somewhere closer to the school, if they'renot good hosts, you could at least stay later in school. Oh, BTW, thanks for the lava lamp. So when shall we meet up again? heehee
