A not so peaceful lunch...

Met up with a bunch of friends for Pastamania today. One of them (Fren A) was carrying a big bag of items and decided to deposit it at Toys R Us before proceeding for lunch without the load. The staff took the bags but when Fren A walked out of the store without collecting the bags the dispute began... I was a distance away and the only words I could make out were "How can you that kind of language?" (Remark from another friend who was nearby).

It was only later did i find out that the staff had said something along the lines of, "Don't come and bullshit with me."

The incident left me shocked for a minute or two after that. No doubt my friends were at fault too for taking advantage of the locker system that Toys R Us provides for its customers but the staff shouldn't have said those words either... A proper explanation would have done better... but i doubt my friends would have stopped to listen.

The customer is always right but 他们也是为了一口饭,为什么让他人那么难为?

No la just said, "Don't come and bullshit with me." (Becos she wanted them to take the bags with them if they are not going to be in the store).

In the service line, you should explain nicely no matter how unreasonable the customer is. Callin the customer a bullshitter is a definite NO-NO.

The customer's always right... True... In some ways...

Perhaps it's specific to SQ, but sometimes what local customers can do to service personnel, can be enough to drive people up the wall, across the ceiling and be left spinning around whilst clinging for dear life on the revolving fans...

So their rude attitudes can be due to some others, hence, may be justified in some circles... Granted, by taking it out on your friend may be a bit overboard... But she's human and prolly frustrated beyond belief...

P.S. They provided plain water and extra plates for free at the Delifrance branches that I used to work in.

So we consistently had customers who bought roasted chicken from the Supermarket next door and blatently walked into the store, sat down, "ordered" plain water, plates and cutlery from us and proceeded to eat, subsequently leaving their mess for us. If it were other CSAs, they'd had blown up already, but I still cleared it as per normal...
